Collège Mérici Panthères
Case Study
Collège Mérici Panthères
A six-station strength and conditioning facility designed to help more student-athletes train safely, efficiently and together.
Summary
Collège Mérici partnered with Gorila Fitness to create a complete strength and conditioning environment for its Panthères student-athletes.
The facility was built around six consistent training stations, allowing coaches to supervise structured group sessions while giving athletes access to strength, power and accessory training from the same organized setup.
Following the initial installation, the room was expanded with additional plates, kettlebells, recovery equipment and dedicated storage. The result is a scalable facility that supports daily training while reinforcing the identity of the Panthères athletic program.
Challenge
The Panthères needed more than a collection of individual products. They needed a training environment that could support student-athletes, coaches and multiple teams throughout the school year.
The project focused on:
Training multiple athletes during the same session
Giving coaches consistent stations that are easier to supervise
Supporting a broad range of strength and conditioning movements
Integrating safety equipment into every station
Keeping plates, bars, kettlebells and recovery tools organized
Creating a facility that reflects the Panthères identity
Allowing the school to expand the room over time
Why Gorila Fitness
A complete facility approach
Rather than selecting disconnected pieces of equipment, Collège Mérici received a coordinated system built around six identical training stations.
Designed for group training
Consistent rack, bench and safety configurations help coaches organize sessions, assign athletes to stations and reduce unnecessary equipment changes.
Customized for the school
Custom Panthères nameplates transform the equipment into an extension of the institution’s athletic identity.
Built for long-term institutional use
The core stations were designed for repeated use by different athletes, teams and training groups throughout the school year.
Scalable investment
The project was completed in phases. The initial facility established the six-station training system, while a later expansion added plates, kettlebells, recovery tools and storage as the program developed.
Made in Québec
Local manufacturing gave Gorila greater control over the dimensions, configuration, customization and long-term support of the facility.
