Install guide
Acclimate 48 hours
Keep rolls flat in room temp 15 to 25 C before install.
Plan and cut
Align grain direction. Pre trim ends for a square fit.
Tape or glue
Choose semi permanent tape or permanent adhesive.
Preparation
Tools: utility knife, straight edge, measuring tape, chalk or masking tape, double sided tape or adhesive, 1/4 in notched trowel for adhesive.
Important. Place rolls flat in the installation room at least 48 hours before install. Ideal temp 15 to 25 C.
Inspect and align
Match grain direction of all rolls. Trim up to 1 in from ends for a perfect, square fit.
Step by step
Measure and plan
- Measure the area and add 5 to 10 percent extra.
- Use chalk or masking tape to mark alignments.
Cutting the roll
- Cut each roll to length with a straight edge and knife.
- Cut slightly long then final trim in place.
Option A - Double sided tape
- Anchor first 2 to 3 ft with tape and weight it down.
- Work in 4 to 10 ft sections along edges and seams.
- Place rolls snug without over pressing seams.
Best for lighter traffic or temporary layouts.
Option B - Adhesive
- Trowel adhesive over first 2 to 3 ft with a 1/4 in notched trowel at about 45 degrees.
- Continue in 4 to 10 ft sections, weighting as you go.
- Keep edges square. Press enough to avoid lifting.
Best for heavy use and high traffic facilities.
Final checks
- Verify tight seams with no gaps.
- Walk the area to find air pockets. Trim at walls and obstacles.
