The Gorila Color Training Plates feature IWF standard colours and 450mm (17.71 inch) diameter, chrome-plated steel disc inserts and a 50.4mm (1.98 inch) collar opening for a secure and firm hold on olympic barbells.

With a tested Shore A durometer of 94, they minimize the bounce on the drop and won't break down with heavy use!

What to look for when buying training bumper plates:

• Lower quality plates will have higher weight tolerance (sometime up to 10%) meaning your 25kg plate could weight closer to 20 or 30KG.
• Shore A (or Sha) Durometer is telling you a lot on bumper plates quality. The higher the durometer reading, the harder the rubber was compressed in the molding process, anything close to 90 is great. This means fewer or no air particles trapped in the plate, so the plate won't crack over time. It also gives the plates a dead blow comparable to pricier comp plates on the market.
• Higher Durometer readings also makes for stronger plates. Softer plate will tend to bend and break easier. We do recommend dropping even the highest quality plate from hip height for better longevity.
• Steel inserts will also tend to loosen faster in a softer, cheaper plate.
• Notice how thin the bumper plates can become when compressed correctly, which means you can put more plates on your barbell.
