All around great product and service

"This is a well made vest. At the beginning it was a little stiff, and there was a small learning curve to get over to get the fittings right, but now it's conforming to my physique and adjustment feels intuitive. The side clips are secure while in use, but easy to access to take it off. When I enquired about my shipment, communication with staff was prompt and effective. I'm very pleased."

"one step forward. . . two steps back"

"I have been a long time owner/user of the original phantom vest, which I have *loved*, until the main support cable recently snapped (I suspect my teenage son had something to do with it) -- so didn't hesitate to order the updated version right away. As expected, version 2 is well built, I like the clip design, and the potential for increased weight capacity. Overall, a decent vest. However, there are also a number of drawbacks compared to the original: -- it's been difficult to dial in the right fit and not something that you can adjust mid-run or workout without taking an extended break and removing the vest (personally - that's not an option, especially on a run). I've gone on a few runs with it and still trying to dial-in the fit (getting close now); -- it's not nearly as comfortable with the removal of the inner padding, etc. I think this also affects the fit. . . since there is less of a "squish" tolerance; -- my biggest disappointment is probably with the removal of the top-front pocket, which was an ideal place to keep my phone and keys (and access mid-stride if needed). I appreciate that there are now "pockets" in the side waist-bands, but don't really understand the design (I'm guessing the extra folds/velcro are intended to secure variable sized gear. . . but zero instruction is provided), and most importantly, they are not accessible without taking the vest off. Again, it's a solid vest -- but not at all like the original, and the first piece of gorila gear I didn't love right out of the box"

Great Vest for Workouts and Walking

"I've had this product for a few weeks now and was waiting to write a review after some. Overall, I've really enjoyed using this, both in my workouts (to pair with bodyweight exercises) as well as post-workout walks (e. g. dropping the kids off at school). Also, the instructional video on this page was very helpful in getting setup. The clips make it quite easy to slip the vest on & off."

Senior guy doing what is important for good health

"The vest is very well made. The velco is severe. . . no weight will even try to fall. Working the velcro during fitting etc is a hand work out. I bought a curved plate set totaling 14 and another at 20. The curve is just right. So the lightest I can go is one 7 lb and up to 34. . . 2 weights in each of front and back. The vest is ok up to 60 if you're young and fit. I'm neither. Instructions for typical adjustments would help but I figured it out. Made in Canada plates was important to me. I live about 3 hour drive from Gorila. I ordered one day and got next day delivery. . . wow. I'm a senior and wanting to be a super senior. . . I'm convinced reasonable rucking will be a great thing to do to keep things working well and avoiding falls. This isn't just for young fitness "nuts" folks. Great for women too though I can't say I assessed the carrier would reduce it's size that much. . . I think so. Nice pockets for a phone so you can have a headset on and walk to music. I walk with it. . . I might wear it in the house when using stairs etc. . . I might go shopping in it. . . I won't run in it but I won't run without it either. Bravo for a solid item. . . good purchase and frankly. . . you do get what you pay for."

I recommend it so much!

"Excellent quality product with a sophisticated, comfortable finish, waist and shoulder attachment system undoes in 1 second! Allows effective breathing of the body. I recommend it so much that I just ordered a second one for our condo in Florida!"

New Model Review

"Writing this because most reviews seem to be about the older model. I’ve had the newer Phantom Vest for 8 months now, and it’s been great. I’m 5’8”, and it fits me snugly—no bouncing around. I use it for runs, squats, jumps, handstands and lunges, and the adjustments are super easy to figure out. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid, comfortable vest!"

"I've had this vest for well over year. I run 1-2 times a week with it and it's holding up pretty good, I love it. Buy once, Canadian made is a huge plus!"

Great vest

"First time I use a weighted vest, so I can’t compare to any other vest. To be honest, It is not the absolute comfort and a little bit pricey but once you find the right fit (tight enough but not too tight so you can still breathe) you really enjoy it. Bought it about 3 months ago"

Amazing

"Fits great little skin irritation to start but you get use to it"
