QPQ is a type of hardening process that changes the chemical and structural composition of the steel and increases surface hardness, improves wear performance and enhanced corrosion resistance. This process gives a matte finish to the bar. This finish is not a coating so it is closer to a bare steel bar feel and look, some of the imperfections of the raw steel will show through.

The Gorila Bee Barbell combines a crisp knurl pattern with just the right amount of grip and precision machined bar sleeves and shaft made from high quality alloy steel and tested for a consistent 180,000 PSI tensile strength. This attention to detail also allows for great whip and durability of our bars.

The idea behind the All Black Olympic Barbells was to get a solid cost-effective barbell ready for the unknown. We've carefully selected the materials and tested it against the day-to-day abuse of group classes and heavy training and it's proven to last.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Gorila product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.
